LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS DESTINATION

Yes! With the IDC LIVE option from Scuba Dive Online, you can complete the classroom portion of your IDC online before arriving in Dauin. This includes all academic workshops delivered over 7 consecutive days (plus an optional 8th day for EFR EFR Instructor academics), each session lasting approximately 3 hours. IDC LIVE sessions start on the 1st and 15th of each month and accommodate various time zones. Once completed, you’ll join Sea Explorers in Dauin for the practical, in-water portion of your IDC, followed by the Instructor Examination (IE).

To enroll in the PADI Instructor Course in Dauin, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old. 
  • Be a certified Divemaster (or an equivalent certification from another agency).
  • Have been a certified diver for at least six months. 
  • Have at least 90 logged dives (with experience in night, deep, and navigation diving) before the course starts, and 100 logged dives before the Instructor Exam.
  •  (IE) Be medically fit for diving, with a physician-signed medical statement issued within the last 12 months. 
  • Have completed CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months (The PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) course fulfills this requirement)

Citizens from most countries can enter the Philippines visa-free for stays up to 30 days, which is typically sufficient for completing your IDC. However, visa regulations can vary by nationality and may change. Always check the current entry requirements with the Philippine embassy or consulate in your home country before traveling.
