PADI IDC IN THE MALDIVES!

The all-inclusive price for the 7-week PADI IDC in the Malidives and conservation programme is US $5,100.

This includes:

• Six week core programme plus a free optional seventh week
• Shared twin accommodation in the Four Seasons Staff Village
• All meals, snacks and drinks
• Return seaplane transfers from Malé
• PADI IDC and EFR Instructor courses
• All PADI learning materials
• All PADI examination and application fees
• Marine conservation programme
• Team teaching and dive centre operations
• Scuba equipment if required

Additionally, candidates need their own DSMB, reel, rescue breathing mask, knife and whistle.

Plus, optional PADI Instructor Specialties cost US$150 each, or five Instructor Specialties for US$600, (MSDT Prep.) including PADI application fees.

To join the programme, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a PADI Divemaster or hold an equivalent leadership rating
• Have been a certified diver for at least six months
• Have at least 100 logged dives before the PADI IE
• Hold a physician signed Fit to Dive, diving medical with 12 months
• Have current CPR and First Aid training (EFR covers this)

Conservation adds another dimension to your PADI IDC in the Maldives once you have completed your Instructor Examination.

Next, you will spend time with the Four Seasons Marine Discovery Centre and experience its conservation work first hand.

In particular, you will learn about Reefscapers coral restoration, Manta Trust research and the Olive Ridley Project. Each project offers a different insight into marine conservation in the Maldives.

As a result, you will experience coral restoration, manta research and sea turtle conservation alongside your instructor training. It is a great opportunity to see how conservation works within a leading Maldives resort environment.

After your IE, the programme shifts from instructor training to practical experience.

Next, you will join team teaching, guide certified divers and experience daily dive centre operations. You will also take part in equipment workshops and compressor maintenance.

Throughout this stage, continued mentoring will help you develop your teaching skills and confidence.

In addition, Week 7 is completely optional and free. Stay longer for more team teaching, conservation activities and diving.

You will stay in the Four Seasons Staff Village, close to the dive centre.
Accommodation is in comfortable shared twin rooms with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and en-suite facilities.
All meals, snacks and drinks are included throughout your stay in the Staff Village restaurant.

Yes. Once you have been accepted onto the programme, Four Seasons will organise your 90 day business visa.

Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, renowned for its coral reefs and extraordinary marine life.

Most importantly, the area is famous for its manta rays. Nearby Hanifaru Bay attracts spectacular manta aggregations during the southwest monsoon. Even better, this season usually coincides with our programme dates.

However, Baa Atoll offers far more than mantas. While diving, you can explore colourful reefs filled with tropical fish and diverse Indian Ocean marine life.

Throughout the programme, you will have plenty of opportunities to discover why Baa Atoll is such an exciting place to train, dive and become a PADI Instructor.
