Your PADI IDC on Koh Lipe is conducted at Davy Jones Locker, a long established and respected PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre in Thailand.
Leading your training is Neil Richards, an award winning Platinum PADI Course Director with more than twenty four years of experience teaching PADI Pros worldwide. Neil is well known for his fun, supportive teaching style and strong mentoring throughout the IDC and during the Instructor Examination.
During your PADI IDC you will

Preparation and digital learning
Before attending your PADI IDC on Koh Lipe, you will receive the PADI IDC digital crewpak, which contains sixteen eLearning sections. These are designed to prepare you for your in class workshops and teaching presentations.

Stand alone IDC or 6 week dual location internship
You may choose to take the PADI IDC on Koh Lipe as a stand alone programme, or you can extend your professional development with our 6 week dual location IDC and MSDT internship, split between Koh Lipe and Koh Tao.
The 6 week option includes
- 3 weeks for preparation, PADI IDC on Koh Lipe and the PADI IE
- Transfer to Koh Tao
- Five PADI Instructor Specialty ratings (MSDT prep)
- Team teaching with real students

2026 dates for the PADI IDC on Koh Lipe
We currently have the following confirmed dates for the PADI IDC:

- PADI Instructor Examination: 31 January and 1 February
- 9 to 22 April 2026
- PADI Instructor Examination: 23 and 24 April
Places are limited in order to maintain small group sizes and high quality mentoring. Early booking is recommended, especially for the upcoming January programme.
