Scuba Dive Online are thrilled to be partnered with PADI 5 Star IDC centre Davy Jones Locker. Giving you the chance to take your PADI IDC in Koh Tao, Thailand. Davy Jones Locker is situated in the bustling town of Mae Haad. Here you will find a great choice of restaurants, bars and shops. They have a custom-built dormitory as well as a well-stocked bar.
If you have an interest in underwater archaeology and history then Davy Jones Locker is the place to take your IDC. The owner Tim Lawrence and his wife Julia Alberione are avid tech divers and wreck hunters. They often run PADI Tech and PADI Tech Instructor courses. Moreover, they organise regular expeditions in the Gulf of Thailand searching for sunken shipwrecks and their treasures. Also both are members of the prestigious Explorers Club. They can include PADI Tec courses as part of an IDC package and give you a free Tec intro in the pool.

Scuba Dive Online IDC candidates attend the “IDC LIVE” online section before their trip to Koh Tao. This covers all IDC classroom curriculum workshops leaving only the in-water sections to complete at Davy Jones Locker. The IDC LIVE online workshops take place over 7 consecutive days (plus an 8th optional day for EFRI academics), 3 hours per day, and can accommodate different time zones. Once the online section is complete, candidates will join the in-water section of their IDC over 8 days in Koh Tao with one of our team, followed by the two day IE.

The IDC LIVE online includes all IDC classroom curriculum workshops and presentations over 7 consecutive days (Plus the optional 8th day for EFRI academics) Also included is access to our Dive Theory LIVE online presentations, access to extra learning resources and daily Dive Theory and Standards practice exams during the IDC LIVE, which we can monitor and, if necessary, give extra assistance. The 8 day in-water IDC at Davy Jones Locker, covers all in-water skills training and workshops including confined and open water presentations, DSD in confined and open water, rescue practice and scenarios, deep assessments and adventure dive workshops plus more. It also includes the EFR Instructor practical training, and exams. There will be additional practice exams given in class plus extra knowledge development presentations and dry workshops.
Davy Jones Locker IDC candidates receive the Emergency O2 Provider Instructor course free of charge as well as 8 days of free accommodation in their dorm rooms.
PADI Fees are not included and are payable directly to PADI in Australian dollars, during your IDC: IDC Fee – 1,055 AUD. Instructor application – 312 AUD. EFRI application fee – 215 AUD. Specialty Instructor fees are 123 AUD each.
