You can explore Dauin, or “Sugar Island’s”, grooved mountains and volcanic formations with Cuernos di Negors volcano in the south and Mount Canlaon, a 2,465 metre active volcano in the north. Additionally, you can indulge in local activities such as dolphin watching, hot springs and eco-tours to connect with the area’s natural tranquility. And all of this is above the water.
Underwater, Dauin has an extraordinary house reef, and Apo island and Siquijor island’s vibrant corals are just a short distance away. Scuba Dive Online IDC candidates attend the “IDC LIVE” online section before their trip to Dauin. This covers all IDC classroom curriculum workshops leaving only the in-water sections to complete at Sea Explorers. The IDC LIVE online workshops take place over 7 consecutive days, (plus an optional 8th day for EFR Instructor academics) 3 hours per day and can accommodate different time zones. Once the online section is complete, candidates will join the in-water section of their IDC over 8 days in Dauin with one of the Scuba Dive Online team of PADI Course Directors, followed by a 2 day IE. Sea Explorers are offering seven IDCs in 2024. The IDC LIVE online can be completed beforehand on the 1st or the 15th of any month.
