Scuba Dive Online IDC candidates attend the “IDC LIVE” online section before their trip to Koh Tao. This covers all IDC classroom curriculum workshops leaving only the in-water sections to complete at Ban’s Diving Resort. The IDC LIVE online workshops take place over 7 consecutive days, (plus an optional 8th day for EFR Instructor academics) 3 hours per day and can accommodate different time zones. Once the online section is complete, candidates will join the in-water section of their IDC over 8 days in Koh Tao with one of the Scuba Dive Online team of PADI Course Directors, followed by a 2 day IE. Ban’s are offering twelve IDCs in 2024. The IDC LIVE online can be completed beforehand on the 1st or the 15th of any month. (We advise completing the IDC LIVE online the month before your IDC so the information is still fresh)
There is also an option to take a full 14 day in person IDC with the Scuba Dive Online team, on Koh Tao if you have time. This 2024 schedule shows both the full 14-day in-person IDC start dates (Prep week) as well as the in-water only dates, for candidates who have completed the IDC LIVE Online section.

Scuba Dive Online are thrilled to be partnered with PADI 5 Star IDC centre Davy Jones Locker in Koh Tao, Thailand. Davy Jones Locker is situated in the bustling port town of Mae Haad. Here you will find a great choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
If you have an interest in underwater archaeology and history then Davy Jones Locker is the place to take your IDC. The owner Tim Lawrence and his wife Julia Alberione, organise regular PADI Tech and PADI Tech Instructor courses as well as expeditions in the Gulf of Thailand searching for sunken shipwrecks and their treasures. Also, both are members of the prestigious Explorers Club.
