PADI Divemaster

Do you love scuba diving so much you want to do it every day?  Do you wish to share your passion of the underwater world with others?  Well you can, with the PADI Divemaster course.  The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional level rating that not only allows you to dive whenever you wish, but also earn money at the same time.  It is your ticket to the world. Many of our Scuba Dive Online, PADI Divemaster candidates have said that this course was the best time of their lives, where they got to visit tropical countries and make friends from all over the world.

During the PADI Divemaster course you will learn how to guide certified divers and refresh their skills.  You will assist PADI Instructors with their students on beginner and advanced level courses.  Fine tune your skills to a professional level and take part in workshops and scenarios such as search and recovery, dive site set up and management, rescue and deep scenarios will make you more than ready to become a PADI professional.  Plus the Divemaster course is the prerequisite to becoming a PADI Instructor.

Another important part about being a PADI Divemaster is knowing dive theory. Preparation and the study of five subjects; physics, physiology, equipment, skill & environment and decompression theory are an important part of becoming a dive professional. With Scuba Dive Online’s deeper dive into these topics, you will be a sought after Divemaster because of your additional diving knowledge. You’ll also be prepared for Instructor level exams should you decide to enrol in the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) in the future.

To start your PADI Divemaster course you must be 18 years old (the eLearning can be completed before you are 18)  be in good physical health, have 40 logged dives, be a PADI Rescue diver or equivalent and EFR or equivalent within the last 24 months. If you need more dives, then your chosen PADI dive centre will normally package them into your course. At our affiliated dive centres you will be encouraged to dive as much as possible to gain experience but more importantly, to have fun!

Timescale

PADI Divemaster

The timescale for your Divemaster course depends on a few things. Firstly, how many dives you have already logged.  As previously mentioned, you will need 40 logged dives to start your in-water work.  If you need more dives, then most of our affiliated dive centres include this in the price.  At Scuba Dive Online we recommend between four to six weeks if you are diving every day.  This will give you plenty of time to complete the scenarios, workshops, skills practice and at least 60 dives you need to finish the course.

Candidates who have more than 60 dives already, and have completed the Divemaster eLearning, are able to complete the remainder of your course in just a few weeks, diving everyday. Scuba Dive Online offer a FREE Introduction to the PADI Divemaster eLearning which we can email to you. This introduction will give you an idea of what to expect during the Divemaster course. Send us a message to receive your free code.
