Reflecting on a Record-Breaking 2023
Our journey in 2023 kicked off with two awe-inspiring additions to our international IDCs—the Dominican Republic and the Maldives. In addition, in 2023 we witnessed a surge in PADI Instructor candidates opting for our now famous, hybrid PADI IDC, a flexible blend of online and in-water training. This hybrid approach caters to divers with demanding schedules or limited vacation time.
Furthermore, with two extra luxury destinations, came the addition of two incredible new members to our already world class Scuba Dive Online team. Kai Steinbeck, PADI Platinum Course Director and founder of The Dive Instructor Academy, hosts the Dominican Republic IDCs as well as IDC LIVE online sessions. And award winning PADI Course Director, Alex Arnold, owner of Sail Rock Divers PADI 5 Star IDC Centre on Koh Phangan in Thailand, who not only conducts IDCs at his own dive centre, but also travels to Phi Phi, Phillipines and other exotic locations.

Our IDC destinations offer an array of different experiences.
In Thailand, you can explore Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, and Phi Phi. Koh Tao and Koh Phangan offer year-round diving, pristine reefs, shipwrecks, and stunning underwater landscapes. Koh Phi Phi is renowned for its white sand beaches and limestone rock formations rising from the clear blue sea.

Maldives: More Than Just Instructor Training
Our Maldives IDC is unlike any other. This eight-week all-inclusive internship not only prepares you to become an instructor but also engages you in conservation projects: The Olive Ridley Turtle project, the Manta Trust programme, and Reefscapers’ coral restoration and planting. Plus, we include team teaching, taking PADI Instructor specialties, and gaining insights into dive centre operations. All hosted at the luxurious Four Seasons.
