A career where they could earn and travel.
Meet Eliska Siskova from the Czech Republic and Norbert Majoros from Slovakia. A self-motivated and determined couple, whose love for diving led them on a journey from diving enthusiasts to PADI Instructors. They have been living and working as dive centre managers and PADI MSDT’s at Divinguru in Sri Lanka for the last four years. Both turned their passion to profession with Scuba Dive Online.
Originally drawn to the underwater world during their first dive on Rhodes Island in Greece, Eliska and Norbert found their lives forever changed. “Our first dive was a pivotal moment. We knew straight away that we wanted to become scuba instructors,” Eliska remembers. And so they both decided to combine their love for diving with a fulfilling career. They could earn, travel, and focus on becoming PADI Instructors.
Confident and well-prepared.
Moving on from Divemasters to Instructors didn’t happen overnight. Additionally, there were challenges, including the disruptions caused by the pandemic. However they remained dedicated in achieving their goal. Moreover, after two years of perseverance, they flew to The Maldives, and fulfilled their dream of becoming PADI Instructors with the Scuba Dive Online team.
Looking back on their IDC experience, both the online section, and in-water, Eliska and Norbert said they were initially concerned. Looking ahead.
Since obtaining their instructor certifications, Eliska and Norbert have been actively involved in teaching a huge range of PADI courses, passing their passion for diving on to others. Plus, beyond teaching, they are advocates for ocean conservation and are set to expand their expertise by becoming PADI Freediving Instructors.
Looking ahead, their dreams for the future in the dive industry are ambitious yet achievable. “We aspire to become PADI Freediving Instructors, IDC Staff Instructors, and perhaps even Course Directors”.

“We wouldn’t change a thing. The entire journey was enjoyable and memorable, thanks to Scuba Dive Online’s exceptional guidance and effective online learning platform. Also we felt very confident and well prepared for the whole IDC. At first we were not sure if theory online can replace the face to face classrooms. However, Monique and Tim connected the whole group and whole learning process was valuable, educational and fun!”
