Scuba Dive Online IDC candidates attend the “IDC LIVE” online section before their trip to Koh Phangan. This covers all IDC classroom curriculum workshops leaving only the in-water sections to complete at Sail Rock Divers. The IDC LIVE online workshops take place over 7 consecutive days (plus an 8th optional day for EFR Instructor academics), 3 hours per day, and can accommodate different time zones. Once the online section is complete, candidates will join the in-water section of their IDC over 8 days in Koh Phangan with Monique, followed by the two day IE.
Sail Rock Divers are offering four IDC’s in 2023. February, May, August and November. The IDC LIVE online can be completed beforehand on the 1st or the 15th of any month. (We advise completing the IDC LIVE online the month before your IDC so the information is still fresh)
The IDC in-water 8 days sections at Sail Rock Divers are:
February 9th until 16th with IE February 17th and 18th
May 7th until 14th with IE May 16th and 17th
August 6th until 13th with IE August 15th and 16th
November 12th until 19th with IE November 21st and 22nd

The IDC LIVE online includes all IDC classroom curriculum workshops and presentations over 7 consecutive days (plus the optional 8th day for EFR Instructor academics) Also included is access to our Dive Theory LIVE online presentations, access to extra learning resources and daily Dive Theory and Standards practice exams during the IDC LIVE, which we can monitor and, if necessary, give extra assistance. The 8 day in-water IDC at Sail Rock Divers with Monique covers all in-water skills training and workshops including confined and open water presentations, DSD in confined and open water, rescue practice and scenarios, deep assessments and adventure dive workshops plus more. It also includes the EFR Instructor practical training, and exams. There will be additional practice exams given in class plus extra knowledge development presentations and dry workshops.
Sail Rock Divers candidates also receive a free of charge Emergency O2 Provider Instructor course. Lunch is also included for the 8 days.
PADI Fees are not included and are payable directly to PADI in Australian dollars, during your IDC: IDC Fee – 1,055 AUD. Instructor application – 312 AUD. EFRI application fee – 215 AUD. Specialty Instructor fees are 123 AUD each.
